Course outline: The course will closely follow parts I and III of the book on quantum computation and quantum information by Nielsen and Chuang. The course will focus on fundamental aspects but also try to relate to applications.
Class timings: 11:00am-12:30pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays

First class: January 10, 2023
Grading: 20% for class quizzes, 40% for assignments, 20% for midterm exam, 20% for final exam
Course prerequisites: The students should have taken basic courses in linear algebra and probability theory; familiarity with quantum mechanics and statistical physics will be helpful.
